The full-scale Spark-1 prototype on an aluminum cradle on a polished shop floor: the segmented tan ablative heat shield forward, the riveted bare-aluminum backshell with a black access hatch, and a large United States flag hanging behind

Spark-1, built at full scale.

About one meter across. The segmented ablative heat shield is made in-house and was tested at full scale in the Mojave under rocket exhaust.

Heat shields built in-house. 100x cheaper. Mach 20+ capable. Dispatch has validated its full-scale satellite heat shields in the Mojave using rocket exhaust to simulate reentry.

Dispatch is building the industrial capacity to support the next-generation of the space economy. Our inaugural mission is with Spark-1 and will scale to support the permanent industrialization of space.

The Mission

Mission concept of operations: launch, deploy into low Earth orbit, operate in orbit, reenter, recover from land or water, and refurbish to refly
